Medtronic has good information for pacemaker and ICD cautions.
Here's a link to Daily Living - ICD. There are links to contact them for questions.
It has a link to a more detailed page: Electromagnetic Compatibility Guide.
They list a large number of items with distances that need to be kept between the item and the ICD or pacemaker.
The generators are in the Tools/Industrial Equipment section.
I do not see references to alternators, but they do address the ignition systems of vehicles and power tools.
There are other manufacturers of the ICD's, and their websites may have similar information for patients.

Your Profile shows a 2006 Winnebago Outlook.
I believe you have a Parallax 7345 Power Center (converter).
And, FWIW, the batteries are usually installed under the entrance steps and, from previous posts by members, there is probably not enough vertical clearance to replace them with the taller golf car batteries.
The 7345 is not a good charger for charging with the generator. Most members replace the converter section with one of the multistage chargers - Progressive Dynamics, WFCO or Xantrex sized to match the battery capacity and/or the wiring (increasing the amperage rating often means replacing the wiring from the converter to the battery). There are a number of links showing the various changeouts.
Alternatively, you can carry an automotive charger and connect it to the batteries to charge them. Again, the current rating should be based on the battery capacity.
Please confirm the Power Center (converter), and the size batteries that you have.

If the vac works when plugged into an other outlets in the MH, then the problem is in the one outlet, or possibly the circuit, where it causes the garage GFCI to trip when plugged in there.
Assuming the vac has a two wire cord - most do, then swapping the neutral and hot wires (L1 and N) have no effect.
One more quote: "The GFI trips instantly, as soon as the vacum cleaner is turned on."
Please confirm that it does not trip until you turn the vacuum on. It may trip as soon as you plug it in.
GFCI protectors will trip with a power difference on the hot and neutral conductors; i.e., some current is going to ground because of a connection between either of the conductors and ground. They will also trip if there is a connection between neutral and ground even if there is no power flow; i.e., a neutral to ground short would cause the GFCI to trip if caused by the physical insertion of the plug into the receptacle.

I'll add another possibility.
It could also be a bad receptacle or receptacle installation in the MH.
Does it trip the GFCI when plugged into a different outlet in the MH?
I'm thinking of an installation problem with "wadding up" the extra wire when pushing the receptacle into the electrical box. The wiring to the receptacle may have the bare ground wire "almost" touching either the hot or neutral terminal on the receptacle, and the force of putting the plug in causes the receptacle to move a little and the ground wire to touch.
This one learned from an old "RV trips GFCI" thread - neutral to ground short caused by the bare ground wire touching the neutral screw on the receptacle.
